The Witches by Roald Dahl, 1983

“It doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like, so long as somebody loves you.”

This train passed through the White Haven area on Sunday, August 23n 2015 and I was able to get this  recording at the Lehigh Tannery crossing.  It was an old steam train with many historical cars from the 1940’s and 1950’s.  Would you like to learn more?  They have a trip planned in early September.  Log in to http://fortwaynerailroad.org/ for more information and to purchase tickets.  A big thank you to Bill Pastore for getting me there in time.

While the tender does say “Nickel Plate Road” they did go by the reporting marks of NKP. Straight from the historicial society webpage: “The Nickel Plate Road Historical & Technical Society, Inc. (NKPHTS) is one of the oldest railroad historical organizations in the country. The Society was founded in 1966 for the purpose of obtaining, preserving, and disseminating information and material related to the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad Company, commonly known as the Nickel Plate Road (NKP), and its predecessor, constituent, and affiliated railroads. “
